Working hard and playing hard evolve with age and experience.  I was fortunate to start my career two months after graduating college.

I enjoyed working in the same community in which I grew up and using my marketing and graphic design undergraduate degrees.  Being happy involved friends, money, and new experiences.

After several promotions at work, I desired more responsibility; networking went beyond the 9-5.  Setting goals and spending time with family and friends while staying active was my strategy for feeling balanced.

 

Today, when unplanned events occur, I maintain a healthy presence in that moment and set realistic expectations for the future.  Goal setting must be continuous and I strive to remember that change is dynamic and difficult, but often rewarding.
